Architect The S/L/A/M Collaborative
Cost $5,000,000

Back in 2001, CES worked with the project architect and the University to upgrade the Gengras Student Union, which serves as the heart of the campus for students to gather. Included in this project was new lighting, mechanical upgrades, and other aesthetic changes which were designed to make this servery more efficient and user-friendly.

Over fifteen years later, CES again has the pleasure of providing MEP/FP engineering design services, this time for the expansion and renovation of the Gengras Student Union. A top priority for the project is upgrading the building’s 1960’s mechanical systems along with more efficient lighting and technology. This project will transform the aged student union into a new, inviting, and vibrant community space for students, faculty, and staff. The new spaces will inspire collaborative work and encourage students to participate in organizations and activities. The project will be completed in three different phases to minimally disrupt daily operations while school and summer activities are in session.
