Founded in 1961, UCONN Health Center includes the School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, John Dempsey Hospital, UCONN Medical Group, UCONN Health Partners and University Dentists. Employing 5,000, it is Connecticut’s 16th Largest Employer.

Working in conjunction with SSRCx, CES will perform enhanced commissioning services for this extensive renovation and new construction project.

This 3 phase project consists of the construction of a new 387,000 gsf, 11 story, Hospital Bed tower, (2) new Parking garages, and the renovation of 118,000 gsf of the existing John Dempsey Hospital bed tower (H Building). The new Bed Tower and Parking Garages will be served by new MEP systems. The MEP infrastructure serving the existing H Building is the original construction and will be systematically replaced to bring it in line with current standards.

As a commissioning agent for this project, CES will be responsible for assisting with problem-solving or resolving non-conformance or deficiencies, develop and coordinate the execution of a testing plan and observe and document system performance, such that systems function in accordance with Contract Documents and provide adequate accessibility for service and maintenance.
