Founded in 1866, the Fay School is centered on a 30-acre main campus with a 36-acre athletic campus. Located in Southborough, Massachusetts, Fay School is the oldest junior boarding school in the United States. Fay is divided into three divisions: Primary School (grades Pre-K through two), Lower School (grades three through six) and Upper School (grades seven through nine). As part of a multi-year master plan, a new classroom building for the Primary School was designed and is LEED Silver Certified under the USGBC LEED for Schools rating system.

CES provided full MEP engineering design services for this new construction project. The plumbing systems were designed to reclaim and treat all waste water at an on-site waste water treatment plant. Low flow fixtures as well as a dedicated grey water system for urinals and water closets have also been incorporated. This design will allow for a projected water savings of 77% compared to LEED’s baseline building.
