The Center for Breast Wellness at Griffin Hospital

Architect The S/L/A/M Collaborative
Size 2,500 sq.ft.
Cost $400,000

This project consisted of the fit-up of outpatient hospital space for a Women’s Center consisting of new breast imaging and mammography equipment, exam rooms and doctor’s offices, as part of Griffin Hospital’s campus.

The CES design encompassed new plumbing fixtures, domestic water distribution, revisions to the sprinkler systems, new HVAC systems, lighting systems and extension of the existing fire alarm system. HVAC systems consisted of a combination of new variable air volume systems and ductless split AC units to provide individual room temperature control. Special care was taken to provide not only good temperature control with minimal drafts but also specialty lighting to provide warm atmospheres.
