CES was selected to provide full building MEP/FP commissioning services for the construction of the new Charter Oak International Academy which accommodates 560 students and was constructed adjacent to the existing occupied elementary school. The project had a goal of LEED Gold certification; this certification was earned through the inclusion of several energy efficient and sustainable measures including 100kW photovoltaic array and geothermal HVAC. After completion of the design by the design team, CES began commissioning services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and envelope systems to ensure they are installed and operate in accordance with the owner’s requirements which will, at the end of the process, provide the owner with a reliable, energy efficient system.
