This new state of the art firehouse was designed to complement the traditional New England architecture of its neighboring buildings. Mechanical systems include a gas fired boiler, indirect water heater and hydronic / dx air handlers, as well as vehicle exhaust and central vacuum systems. Electrical components include a full fire alarm system and emergency generator. An NFPA 13 sprinkler system and sanitary and storm sump pumps round out the plumbing and fire protection systems for this facility. |

Dome Lighting Project

CES developed a new lighting design to illuminate the gold dome and barrel of the State Capitol Building. Custom designed fixtures enhanced the aesthetic appearance of the ornate stained glass windows and unique statues adorning this State icon. |

CES acted as Prime Consultant for this critical building system upgrade project. Replacement of the existing fire alarm system and components includes an upgrade of equipment to meet current code standards. The fire alarm system is a fully addressable system with voice evacuation for the entire Capitol and Legislative Office Building complex.

Killingworth Town Hall

To ease space concerns while maintaining the building’s New England charm, this project consisted of an addition and interface with a pre-manufactured building to the existing Town Hall. New plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical lighting and distribution were designed. A new electrical service and fire alarm system were also part of the project. |
Richmond Center

This project consisted of renovations to address ADA compliance and code deficiencies within the existing building. The project also included the installation of new air conditioning to increase occupant comfort throughout the facility. |

Renovations to this active facility included conversion of underutilized laboratory space into office and meeting spaces. Building system upgrades consisted of new electrical distribution, plumbing revisions, a dual temperature piping loop, a 100-ton chiller and fan coil units.
