Solar Photovolatics and Solar Thermal
Over the past ten years, CES has become a leader in providing design build services for solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems and solar hot water systems in both commercial and residential applications. Recognizing the rapid growth and necessity for renewable technologies throughout the Northeast and beyond, the owners of CES formed a new sister corporation appropriately named Radiant Renewable Energy (RRE). This entity is comprised of not only the same reliable and talented individuals from the CES team who are experts in the field of solar electricity and solar thermal, but we team together only with the most reputable and experienced leaders in the industry giving us the ability to provide our clients with design build services of the highest caliber for their solar projects.
CES has provided design build services for various solar projects, most recently being the new solar hot water system at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, CT. Gaylord Hospital is the first hospital in the State of Connecticut to receive state funding through a grant from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) for a solar thermal hot water system. This system will reduce the annual hot water needs of the facility by an estimated 65%.
And as a firm who believes in leading by example, the CES headquarters in Middletown, CT has a 14kW rooftop solar PV system with a dual axis solar tracker that was designed and installed by CES employees. Over the summer of 2012, CES will be expanding their PV system to include a solar carport over the parking lot and solar awnings over the windows. The combination of the existing system and the new system will provide approximately 65% of the buildings electrical needs.
CES also has provided design services for solar photovoltaic projects for various educational facilities throughout the Northeast including Gilmartin Elementary School in Waterbury, CT, Waterbury Career Academy in Waterbury, CT, Watkinson School in Hartford, CT, Naugatuck High School in Naugatuck, CT, Cromwell Middle School and Edna C. Stevens Elementary School in Cromwell, CT, Malden High School in Malden, MA and Gateway Community College in New Haven, CT.
